about me
My home town of Brussels has a long tradition of puppet theater, which is probably why making and playing puppets was a standard part of the primary school program. At the atheneum I received my first classical theater acting lessons, and I developed my passion for theatre. At that time, my first mentor and subject teacher was my mother's cousin who had played for many years in Flemish theater in Brussels. After completing my AEP training in 1969, I worked for more than 15 years at the Group IFAC, among other things with problem youth, in addition to being a puppeteer as an inclusive sports, physical expression and movement theater instructor/director.
My first major stage experience came with the musical play Zigger-Zagger, directed by Michael Croft, in 1969 at the Festival of Spa and during season 69-70 at the TNB (Théâtre National de Belgique) in Brussels, where I specifically completed the internal chorus singer course. (with play, song, dance and fight) had successfully completed.
Due to circumstances I continued my studies and started a broad international career in which I was very often active as a training actor with various additional training courses, including in the US and Italy. At the end of 2010 I stopped consulting and went back to acting on a full-time basis. Through my many travels I have come into contact with repertory theater worldwide, and perhaps with all possible forms of expression. I now also give specialized acting lessons on request, for example as an inclusive theater teacher at the 5D Theaterwerkplaats in Amsterdam.
